Ventex Valve Servicing

Euratex are proud to announce that our Field Service Engineers are fully trained and certified, according to the most recent certification, to install/service/repair the VENTEX Valve. Euratex are now one of only a handful of certified VENTEX engineers in the UK.

According to the manufacturer’s instructions, the VENTEX valve must be serviced annually, at minimum. The recommended maintenance schedule for the VENTEX valve is as follows:

  • 3 weeks after commissioning (to ensure that installation/orientation of the valve is correct, positioning of the valve on the duct work is accurate in accordance to the min/max installation parameters etc),
  • then again 6 weeks after commissioning (to be certain all is functioning correctly and that air flow is suitable, as well as ensuring there is no product accumulation present).
  • an additional inspection 6 months after commissioning,
  • and then the service 1 year after installation and continuing annually thereafter.

It is essential that the valve gaskets are inspected frequently. They have a life span of 5 years, regardless of whether the valve is in operation or not. That is just one of the reasons why it is critical that the valve is maintained regularly by an approved servicing agent such as Euratex. If an uncertified engineer tampers with the valve then, just like with any ATEX equipment, there is a risk of losing the associated guarantees, but more notably, it risks the process area of being unprotected from an explosion as the valve may not function correctly.
